Music has a profound influence on how we shop, a fact advertisers have used to their advantage since the early days of radio by pairing the right track with the right product to boost both appeal and profits. This relationship often goes both ways—while the music helps sell the product, a major commercial can also resurrect a classic hit or pull an obscure artist into the spotlight. For this reflection, choose four of the following commercials to analyze, considering why these specific tracks were chosen and how they actually enhance the product.
